Browser-Based
DS Easy Extranet provides training and workstation risk evaluation to the user entirely via the internet browser on the workstation computer. All administration and DSE Assessor tools are also delivered via a browser. Email alerts are issued by the system and require the user to have access to an email client to receive them.
Web compliance
The DS Easy Extranet web application conforms to XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2 web standards.
DDA compliance
The DS Easy Extranet web application complies with w3.org guidelines on Disability and Discrimination Act compliance.

In-House Integration
Network connectivity
To access the DS Easy Extranet web application each workstation will require a connection to the DS Easy server on the internet. If workstations require access to no other servers on the internet configuration of the company proxy server can specify the DS Easy server on a white list to control access to the public internet.
XML data interface
All import of user lists and export of user and report data is via XML and must confirm to DS Easy schemas.
Email SMTP
Users will require a public email address to receive email notifications from The DS Easy Extranet web application.
Security Measures
Data
All passwords provided by the user to access their accounts are kept private on the system and stored using one way encryption. Passwords are reset with a system password that users can replace with their chosen private password. DSEasy has been developed to OWASP standards.
Optional Extra: Network
The DS Easy Extranet web application is hosted on an Apache SSL web server which encrypts all traffic with 128 bit encryption.
Reliability
Server
The DS Easy Extranet web application is hosted on a secure Apache Server. Based on Unix technology the server provides the most secure and robust platform available.
Audit Trails
System data and key activity by both administrators and workstation users is stored in logs ensuring complete audit trails.
Backups
Nightly backups are transferred offsite to a backup server and saved in an encrypted file on a remote server.
